The TFG condemns the Self Interest Group so called demonstration against Italian Government.

Jowhar, 11/12/05- a press release held today in Jowhar by the minister of information of TFG Mr. Mohamed Abdi Hayir widely condemned the so called protest and gave his sincere apology to the Italian government.

The Transitional Federal Government appeals to the Italian Government, appreciate Italian’s support to the TFG, as well Somali people, asking for continuing, enlarging the Italian’s support which will help the TFG to create a new peaceful country.

The Minister called Banadir regional administration and Mogadishu community not to allow such this bad action, appreciating their decision for not participating such this so failed demonstration.

At the other hand the deputy mayor of Banadir Region Mr. Ugas Ali had seriously condemned this so called demonstration and gave a great apology to Italian Government for this worst action.

THE FAILED DEMONSTRATION

A small gathering against Italian Ambassador for Somalia organized by self interest group in Mogadishu took place at the well known demonstrating field in Mogadishu, Tarabunka in the south of Mogadishu.

The demonstrators are estimated about 300 of students and refugees, as reliable sources told to Dalka Somalia Online.

Sources also say most of the protesters are taken from the Streets of Mogadishu as some of them were forced to participate the gathering by militiamen loyal to some of Mogadishu warlords.

Early in the morning today, a group of students in Madina District of southern Mogadishu were collected by force and loaded them with big tracks to the Taribunka ground, other militiamen led by Osman Hassan Ali Atto. A well known warlord minister surrounded at the demonstrating field to be against any aggression against the demonstration.

Local community has recently vowed that they will be against any such protest by which the organizers are trying to mislead Somali national community view and empower it on there deed political principles.

Mogadishu Community believe this event doesn’t represent national protest, while the deputy mayor of Banadir Region Mr. Ugas Ali had seriously condemned this so called demonstration and gave a great apology to Italian Government for this worst action.

However a little number of Some Local Radio in Mogadishu exaggerated this event and broadcasted false news as well as they published photos captured during other former demonstrations, those sources were known as a side with the Mogadishu warlord ministers.
